Tiff's Birthday

My very good friend Tiffany had a particularly special birthday this past Sunday. I was able to fly to Oahu for the weekend to spend time with her. We had a blast and went to Rumfire at the Sheraton, an oceanfront restaurant/lounge and then to the W for dancing. The next day Tiffany's husband put together a bbq at their home and spent half the day cooking in preparation. We also made our friend Lezley's ono recipe for Taegu Furikake Linguine salad. It was a hit. In fact, Tiff's mom even snuck and ate some of the salad, even though she was supposed to be on a no-carb diet! (Shh! don't tell Chad she ate it!). This birthday for Tiffany was her Yakudoshi, which is celebrated by many Japanese on particular birthdays, depending if you are male are female. Read this link if you would like to know more about Yakudoshi.

So FUN!!! Looks like Tiffany had a great birthday. I haven't had that Taegu salad in forever... well, we couldn't get it in Missouri and now forget about finding it in Australia.
