I ran in the Nagano Marathon in Japan on April 19th. I had hoped to have a PR (personal record) run. I had trained hard and thought I was in pretty good shape. However, the Mt. Kinabalu climb 2 weeks prior messed with my muscles, and so I was fortunate to finish the marathon, but not anywhere near my desired goal. Nagano was beautiful. It's a fairly small town when compared to Tokyo and Osaka, but the marathon had a lot of support from the people of Nagano who were cheering "ganbate."
